Fans of Punjabi cinema will have to wait a little longer for the much-awaited sequel ‘Nikka Zaildar 4’ starring Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa.
The makers of the film, White Hill Studios, announced that the release of the movie has been postponed due to severe floods affecting parts of Punjab.

In an official statement on Instagram, the team shared, “The entire team of Nikka Zaildar 4 has decided to postpone the release of the film to 21st October 2025 due to the unforeseen severe flood situation in several areas of Punjab. We believe that it is our duty to stand by the people of Punjab during these tough times.”
The studio also revealed that the cast and crew plan to visit the flood-affected regions to provide immediate help.
“Therefore, the Nikka Zaildar 4 team has decided to visit the affected areas very soon and provide trucks full of rations and other necessary items to the people at the earliest. We stand with Punjab,” the post read.
Originally scheduled to hit theatres on 12th September, the film will now release on 21st October 2025.
Directed by Simerjit Singh, the movie’s story has been written by Jagdeep Sidhu. Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa will reprise their roles as the leading pair. The film also features a strong supporting cast including Nirmal Rishi, Sonia Kour, Nisha Bano, Sukhi Chahal, Gurmeet Saajan, Gurdial Paras, Satwinder Kaur, and Anita Devgan.
The plot reportedly follows a Punjabi man with little interest in wrestling. However, his perspective changes when he meets a Haryanvi woman who is deeply passionate about the sport.
This movie is the fourth installment in the popular ‘Nikka Zaildar’ series. The franchise began in 2016 with the first ‘Nikka Zaildar’ film. Then came Nikka Zaildar 2 in 2017 and Nikka Zaildar 3 in 2019.
